Boyd Jones Selected to Renovate Nebraska State Historical Society Headquarters

Boyd Jones was selected by the Nebraska State Historical Society as the General Contractor for the extensive renovation of their Headquarters in Lincoln. During the 18-month project, the Historical Society’s library, archival collection and reference rooms will be closed.

Renovations include refurbishment of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, and the addition of two exterior stair towers for fire safety. Renovations will bring the facility’s safety, fire suppression, heating, cooling and ventilation systems up to current standards, and bring the 1953 building into compliance with guidelines for the physically disabled. The building’s interior will also undergo a light remodeling.

The project will create a safer environment for staff, researchers and the collections that are held in trust for the citizens of Nebraska.
